Looking forward to 2 matches tomorrow: KY vs NEB and WISC vs Louisville both on ESPN2 I think. Should be fun. Also, beside the PSU matches, (of course!), will be very interesting to see: Texas & Stanford vs Wisconsin and Texas & Stanford vs Minn, but I don't give Minn much of a chance in either match. These matches are on FOX. Stanford will be interesting to see as they are in the post Kendall Kipp era. They do still have Sami Francis (6'6") middel around. How Stanford constantly gets the best players in should be illegal  . They seem to never have a rebuilding time. They seem to always have someone in the wings ready to come on. Course, they probably would have had one or two more natties if it hadn't been for PSU. How sad.
Edit. Texas & Stanford vs Wisc and Minn are on upcoming Sun and Mon; the Wisc games vs Texas at 11:30 Sun, and the match vs Stanford is at 4:00 PM on Mon. Not sure about the Minn games.

Interesting. I was just watching the preview by Dani Busboom Kelli (DBK) of Louisville and she was saying that the match against Wisc in Louisville (today) will be using the cameras et all that were used in the Olympics; I think it requires 19-23 high speed cameras at 200 frames per second So no line judges, can instantly look at the ball in/out within seconds of the play. Unfortunately, the rest of the season won't have that. My understanding is that the cost of the cameras et all is around $100,000 dolares. (I've heard different figures.) A thread somewhere alleged that the AD's don't want to put that money out for 1 sport.

Nice to hear Coach Dan speaking about his positive experience while at PSU and with Coach Katie, calling her "one of the best coaches in the country" and "such a wonderful person". He goes on to say how he learned from her "how to treat players, how to interact with them... that every player on the team matters... and how to treat your staff". While not having ever met him, he also seems like "such a wonderful person" and I hope he succeeds at Miami Ohio! |
