Also very glad to see CJ stay in the whole game. I agree with another post that I think once she has the one really good game she will really start to settle in and contribute a lot more offensively. I do like that she has been pretty low error so far also. It seems like there’s been more of an emphasis on keeping the ball in play for all the pins as well.

KSC mentioned a few times last year how Joce works a lot on her serve... We saw the fruit of her hard work in full display today. Perhaps Joce moves up as the first starting sub? Her serving run was awesome! IIRC, 7-0 run with 2 aces. Wow. And 4 aces in total.

Fun fact - Penn State has 3 campuses + 5 Alumni Chapters in the Philly Metro!
Temple's main campus might be in Philly, but I would argue that Penn State dominates even the City of Brotherly Love.

Impressions from the match in person:
1-I got to speak with Nyline before the match-always a highlight. Great to see him at any time. 2-Saw Quinn Menger warm up with the hitters (as a lefty from the Right obviously) before moving over with the Defensive group. Makes sense for the second setter to be ready to swing (I suppose). 3-Temple's pep band sounded great in tiny Mcgonigle Hall. The band also figured out how to use the flip seats in their section to make a great cocophony lending some necessary atmosphere - an "away" experience for the team. 4-There was way more PSU gear on display than Temple. 5-I love how Izzy moves. She weaves through the court with grace and awareness of her teammates' position. 6-I too was happy to see the entire roster play. 7-Temple put up a bit more fight this match than the contest last year. They have a diminutive Outside who can jump spectacularly. 8-The match was free admission but the parking garage was not. 9-Jocelyn was dominant from the service line. Gillian was good, but not as devastating as she was against Tennessee. 10-Ms. Hopp showed excellent movement and even scored on a slide. 11-Quinn Menger was setter in third set from point 16 to conclusion. She looked good and I am guessing was on the court with players who I assume are her regular compatriots in practice. 12-After the match, a gentleman held up a sign saying "Bring on some more birds!"

Was rewatching the game and saw they shared the stat of Jess and Cam’s single game career high kills and they had 31 and 37 respectively. Hoping to see them have some games like that again this season!
