Week 3 Rankings to be released on Monday (9/16).
Might be best to wait until the conclusion of #6 Texas vs. #2 Stanford (Sunday, 3pm ET on ESPN) to vote, as that match's outcome may determine if PSU gets a bump.

As this is germane to the topic, who do you think will win the Stanford vs Texas match? I was gonna say not a clue, but after looking at TX's loss to Miami, I think I'll give the edge to Stanford. I think that TX is overrated this year. So we may see how good a coach Elliot is. Personally not impressed. Course, knowing how much you (dc155) like Texas. Or not.  |

Though Creighton vs. Louisville has no impact on our ranking for Week 3, I'm glad Louisville won.
Louisville winning helps our RPI, plus I personally never root for a team that has one of our former players. Nothing personal against the players, I just don't want it to be said that to be part of a higher ranked team, you have to leave Penn State.
That said, Maddy has been having a really good season thus far, and did a great job today.

I don't think the Top 3 (Pitt, Stanford, PSU) will change for Week 3.
IMO though, I think it should be Stanford, Pitt, PSU.

Yeah, but if you go by the logic that Stanford should be #1 cause they beat Texas, then PSU should be #2 cuz they have beaten a lot more ranked teams than Pitt. But as someone else said, it's only entertainment; doesn't matter where they are put. And, we'll find out in 3 days whether PItt is #1 or not.
So if PSU beats Pitt, will PSU be #1? One would think so, but that is letting logic intrude where it is not wanted.
I'm bummed, cuz it looks like I'll miss the Pitt game; I have a prior engagement. Oh well.

I was so certain Texas would beat Stanford I didn't record the match on my cable box. Actually I don't think Texas is as good as last year but they could improve during the season. Don't count them out of the final four.
Being a Penn State and Stanford fan, I think Penn State is the stronger team.
