I didn't see any hitting errors that set. Is that correct?

Announcers saying that Courtney is swinging instead of tipping. Thank God. Sick of seeing them tip like there's no tomorrow. I think Megan tips when that's the shot she has available. Russ Rose repeatedly has said she has a really, really high volleyball IQ. That's part of volleyball IQ. She didn't just lose her IQ over the past several matches. Or at least that's what my none-existent coaching experience tells me.

Wow, PSU looking dominant. Lookout tourney "hopeful" teams, just when they thought they had a chance at a National Championship!!! PSU hitting .396 vs .159 for MD thus far in the match per GameTracker. Simmer down, cowboy I think reports of an imminent National Championship may be a tad premature. But they certainly are playing alot better tonight.

8M, you're not only a saint, but you're a lean, mean, statistical machine.
It's interesting, their set won-loss record and their sideout percentages are virtually identical. PSU still has a sizeable advantage in their opponent's sideout percentage.
Tonight's game should be a 3-0 sweep, just like the one in College Park. We'll see what we see. Like all of you, I hope it's a win.
I'm assuming you meant "just like the one in College Park should have been a 3-0 sweep." And yes, 8M is a lean, mean statistical machine -- couldn't have said it as well (let alone better). I owe the words to "Stripes" and "Thassa fack Jack!"

Or at least that's what my none-existent coaching experience tells me. No, I've watched her play closely since returning from injury and she had been tipping a lot. Even Laura B. made mention of it in the audio commentary. Courtyney would always tip when the set was bad. However, she could have hit some of those via overhand swings. Before this match she was just pushing it over (freeball). It was painful to watch cause you know they could do better. In fact, I felt like it was contagious, because other hitters were doing the same thing on bad sets. I'm not saying it's not necessary sometimes, but it was being pushed over more than often, enough were I could notice it (quite evident).

Great to see the Penn State of the second set. Even the first set was an improvement. Good for Kendall Pierce, too--she looks fresh.
The libero situation is so interesting to me from the outside looking in. A number of different factors: the "gassed" comment from Coach discussed earlier in the thread, the team needing a "spark" after a loss (my speculation), and the performance of Holcomb.
I don't know nothin' about nothin' but seems if Holcomb was to be benched, it would have been after the Minnesota loss where she was not good at all. I didn't think she was the problem in the Michigan loss, but I can understand Rose wanting to change something up. Looks like it's paid off. Still puzzling to see that Keeton hasn't even gotten into the match yet. She is a very good defensive player. I wonder if Coach is resting her due to her being exhausted. If that's the case, very interesting. Perhaps it's an open competition for the libero spot at the moment. Regardless, I imagine we will still be seeing K Pierce and Holcomb on the court throughout the season.
Set 3 has started. Here's hoping the Lions don't take their foots off the gas. Go State!

But cross5 needs to give us more than these Delphic "change is coming" pronouncements. We need positive reinforcement. Or reinforcements. ☺ Did Cross5 know something we didn't regarding the change in libero tonight? [twilight zone theme song playing in the background]

Laura B. just said that, "Aiyanna just needed to be bigger with her hands, she got what we like to call "Barbie hands on that block." Funny.
