Well I just finished shoveling my walks and driveway, I kind of agree with Thayer Hall Yes, much better to live in Houston, or the coastal areas of Florida, or South Carolina, or North Carolina, and Texas, and Alabama, and Georgia and have everything blown down by hurricane winds and then flooded, and have giant mosquitos buzzing all around (that really has happened in North Carolina).

That's why you move to Arizona.

Yes I agree 100%, Jonni is a fantastic player who brings her all every time she steps on the court Agree. Jonni has a very high volleyball IQ and as she gets stronger, she will become a reliable pillar on this team.

Don’t forget them bloody noseeums! Quite the nuisance they are!

Jonni has a very high volleyball IQ and as she gets stronger, she will become a reliable pillar on this team. Note: I deleted the writeups for these three plasyers, which were copied without permission from PrepVolleyball.com (or somewhere else that copied them without permission). At DigNittanyVolleyball.com, we adhere to U.S. Copyright law -- which in simple terms says you can't copy someone else's work without their written permission (the "Fair Use" exceptions don't apply here.) PrepVolleyball.com relies on subscriptions. It's a pay service. I understand that many forum members don't understand why copying is a problem, but the simple answer is you are stealing someone else's work. Please don't.
Jonni has ranked #14; below are the 2019 recruits: 93. Gabi Bailey, 6-1 OH, Lawrence Academy (Groton, Massachusetts), AVC – Penn State 44. Sydney Ferguson, 6-3 OH, North Stafford (Stafford, Virginia), VA Juniors – Penn State 31. Lauren Clark, 6-0 OH, Champlin Park (Champlin, Minnesota), MN Select – Penn State

This is a really nice posting. There must be something we can complain about. None are from the South or from California. None are 7 feet tall. Why aren't they all tied for #1 ranking? Now I'm going back to complaining about snow in November and my car not starting last night at a Wawa 50 miles from home. I love this thread.

I love this thread. pointps: sorry to have had to delete the information you liked from bob2061's post, but he didn't have the right to post it -- in effect, whether he intended this or not (and I'm going to assume he did not intend this) he was stealing from PrepVolleyball.com. John Tawa has told me it's OK for me to publish the rankings of the Penn State players (which I've done in previous posts and on the Recruiting pages of DigNittanyVolleyball.com), but that it's not OK to copy the player writeups -- which is what bob2061 did. As a general rule, you can't simply cut and paste material from another site. So let's honor the hard work of PrepVolleyball.com, and not take it without permission. Thanks.

Are we allowed to complain about you, too, on this thread? Just kidding! We're all having too much fun.

“IIRC we have never needed California ladies to win our many national championships.”
True, but it was not for the lack of trying. I’ve seen Coach Rose almost every year at a SoCal tournament. You probably know for the most part top DI coaches don’t go to club tournaments to evaluate players. They already know who they want when the players were very young.
Coaches go to club tournaments mainly to remind potential recruits of their continued interest and to mix it up with club coaches. Actually much of club tournaments are pretty boring for DI head coaches. I talked to Russ a number of times and I’m a nobody in college volleyball. He seemed to enjoy having someone to chat with.

Don't sell yourself short. I'm sure you're a witty conversationalist.

Nice!
I loved reading coach Rose's take on each player.
Also, I'm pleased to hear that Lauren is coming in early. We need that.
