I watched a good bit of the first two sets. Don't think Ehmann mentioned the PSU win. Wasn't sure either would mention Hord played for PSU, but they finally broke down and uttered the words. Lol.

I don't think Hord is happy, she was a STAR at PSU but last night match, they rarely set her!! 11 times in 4 sets LOL

She has one year left, there was coaching change and I believe she want to continue her VB career after college. Nebraska has a strong team where she can get a lot of possible exposure in her last year. I hate that she chose Nebraska but I think the reasons are sound in my opinion.

And sadly the fan base on the other site was critical of her after the match. She looks like she rises above all this, but still must be a bit of a rude awakening after all the love PSU fans showered on her.

I don't think Hord is happy, she was a STAR at PSU but last night match, they rarely set her!! 11 times in 4 sets LOL From what I can see, Nebraska has the same problem they had last year, except instead of OH problems (last year at the beginning OH's hitting under .100 and sometimes .000), this year it's setter problems. BTN showed the NEB offense for the first 8 games. The first 4 games NEB played a 5-1, with Evans & Orr, alternating setters each match. Then the last 4 games (including Stanford), played a 6-2 with Hames and Evans. It's hardly surprising that Hord isn't hitting well considering she has had to adjust to 3 setters. Good luck with that. And in the Stanford match I think they said that Hames was out for the last set with her back, which was why Orr came in. And to me, Orr didn't look that good. Seems to be very little chemistry with Hord.

I hope only Hord has a good year.

I don't think Hord is happy, she was a STAR at PSU but last night match, they rarely set her!! 11 times in 4 sets LOL I watched the post game interview of the Nebraska coach. He said he kept telling the setters to set the middle. He said he was disappointed in the setters not getting sets to the middle when they got good passes. He was really critical of Orr. I was surprised how blunt he was toward his players. I expect they will work on going to the middle in the future. Hord is one of the potential offensive stars on the Nebraska team.
I agree when you have setter by committee things are going to be in a constant state of flux. I would go with a 5-1 and let Hames set.
