Effective December 9, 2023, I have retired as Publisher of DigNittanyVolleyball.com and the DigNittany Volleyball Forum. I began work on this project in 2008, so it's been 15 years. That's long enough. The very, very good news for followers of DigNittany, is that two dedicated, creative, and energetic Penn State grads -- Ethan Kasales and Daniel Chun -- have agreed to step in as Co-Publishers. Ethan will continue as Editor -in-Chief, a position he has held since April 4, 2020 (see link below). Daniel will focus on administrative functions. We were unable to locate the Slacker Staff, but they did leave a note that read "Don't call us, we'll call you." I'll continue to post on this site as a fan, and want to thank all of you for your support over the years. I know you will give that same support to Ethan and Daniel. You're in excellent hands. Here's the announcement from April 4, 2020: forum.dignittanyvolleyball.com/thread/1110/ethan-kasales-named-editor-dignittanyvolleyballWith gratitude, Nyline

Well Sir Richard - you should be proud of what you created. I too thank you for your efforts and the legacy which shall live in "famy."

Thanks Richard not only for your work in developing this forum, but also for the support you gave me when I made the trip over from England to watch the 2019 BIG10/PAC12 Challenge. The atmosphere in Rec Hall when PSU took the opening set 29-27 against Stanford was unforgettable. After the game, you introduced me to Russ Rose and I also got to meet Jonni Parker and Kendall White, as well as watching all the games with Jonni’s delightful grandparents, Jim and Nancy. I will look forward to reading your future contributions as a fellow fan!

I introduced you to Russ Rose at the social after the match, but as I recall, you had already met Jonni's mom and grandparents (none of whom I had ever met) quite on your own, while waiting in line to get into Rec Hall. Something about your accent 😎

This website has been among my very favorites for many years. Now that I am a babysitting grandmother, I am often too beat to stay up late to watch volleyball, but I still follow along when I can.
It was a pleasure meeting you at Rec Hall several years ago.
Thank you so much for all the enjoyment! I'm glad you will be sticking around and look forward to more good times with Ethan and Daniel at the helm.

Welcome Daniel. Have you been lurking/posting under any handle we’d recognize. In other words, do we already know you.

Something about your accent 😎 That's right, Richard, they heard me talking to someone else and asked if I was the guy who'd been posting on the forum about coming over from England. We had to use different entrances to the hall but they said they would save me a place with them. When I found them, Jonnie was there and that's where I met her. Kendall's dad introduced me to her and I remember she nearly crushed me with a hug. Very strong young woman!
