A big reason PSU did so well at the end was that PSU out blocked KY 8 to 1 in the 4th and 5th set. Plus Izzy started setting the middle, a large reason being that the PSU passing was really good in the last couple sets.

That was a close one. Really glad Hannah and Trammell stepped up big time as the match went on and hoping it was just an off day for CJ. Falduto’s SR got so much better as the match went on as well thankfully.
I wonder if the team will start looking to Izzy as an attacking option on the RS at all especially when they’re OOS and if the RS’s are having an off night. She had a really nice over pass kill that looked to really fire her up. Also really thankful the serving and block started to come alive again!

jojonito, thanks much for your work in this thread. As I said earlier, I have no access to SEC Network thanks to Disney and DirectTV, and live stats was lagging badly and going down tonight. I wouldn't have known what was going on without your frequent updates.

Shame you couldn't watch it. BUT, you should be able to watch it on youtube pretty soon. Being pessimistic, I kept expecting the Ladies to falter, but they didn't. I think this will be a lesson for them. |
