Pretty much as happy as I have been all season. I disagree with millenium about Elliott, though. I don't think he had any choice but to confront the officials about their inept work in the first set, especially R2. He showed confidence in his team, which was more than justified.

Texas wins National Championship. Congratulations. Get back to us when you win 4 in a row someday.

He threw an f-bomb at the R2 in a national televised match. Gotta control your emotions as a coach. Agree to disagree.

Is it just me or did John Cook seem kind of disinterested at times during the match?

Is it just me or did John Cook seem kind of disinterested at times during the match? I think he's been coaching long enough to know when you are beat. Texas was winning the serve, pass, and hitting efficiency battle in all 3 sets. Nebraska has not been a good serving team this season, so they needed to win transition points, but the Longhorns defense was just too good tonight. I watched his presser, it was mostly pretty good and respectful, but I had to chuckle at his digs regarding Texas using the portal and O'Neal being a national team player. Like what?!

Is it just me or did John Cook seem kind of disinterested at times during the match? He was wistful as he watched his dreams of four consecutive national championships with this freshman class get swept away.
