The libero situation is so interesting to me from the outside looking in. A number of different factors: the "gassed" comment from Coach discussed earlier in the thread, the team needing a "spark" after a loss (my speculation), and the performance of Holcomb. I don't know nothin' about nothin' but seems if Holcomb was to be benched, it would have been after the Minnesota loss where she was not good at all. I didn't think she was the problem in the Michigan loss, but I can understand Rose wanting to change something up. Looks like it's paid off. Still puzzling to see that Keeton hasn't even gotten into the match yet. She is a very good defensive player. I wonder if Coach is resting her due to her being exhausted. If that's the case, very interesting. Perhaps it's an open competition for the libero spot at the moment. Regardless, I imagine we will still be seeing K Pierce and Holcomb on the court throughout the season. A much needed change is coming. OK, me too. But cross5 needs to give us more than these Delphic "change is coming" pronouncements. We need positive reinforcement. Or reinforcements. ☺ Did Cross5 know something we didn't regarding the change in libero tonight? [twilight zone theme song playing in the background] It certainly seems so!

Is Purdue ranked nationally because they are about to sweep Minnesota! They are ranked #15, but it's now 19-18 in set 3 (Purdue up 2 sets to 0)

PSU pretty soundly beating a team they should be beating. Yes. Sold out crowd. Yes again. Of course the "should" beat Maryland. But unless you've not been watching, they've had some trouble doing as they should. This simply means that things are as they should be, and that's a good thing.

Double good news in one night. Every team is fallible.
Actually, it doesn't surprise me that MN is losing and could get swept. Their stats are good, not great, maybe middle of the road for a ranked team.

Call was she reached over net. She is allowed to when ball breaks plane. Set ended 34-32 MN .

Russ has asserted himself and it was a matter of time before he found the right connection of experience, energy and communication. The team played super hard for each other and the symmetry between Kendall, Ali and Megan was obvious.

Seems like more senior leadership and stamina helped.

That play looked just like the play when Deja McClendon made the match winning kill against Wisconsin in the National Championship in 2013.

I'm going to go back and look at that one. By the way, do we know who (youtube uploader) "athletevball" is?

If you want to look at the 2013 or 2014 games, you really ought to subscribe to Tom's good files or whatever: www.tomsgoodfiles.com/volleyball-great-video-clips.php . It will cost you $20 for both years and you don't have to put up with the poor resolution on YouTube.
